WIJCK.(which means neighborhood in dutch) designs line drawings from the
world’s most famous neighbor-
hoods, streets, buildings and cities. Besides prints they sell travel and interior books as well. WIJCK. have a
lot of sale spots throughout the world but wanted to create their own shop so they could tell the story about
their brand. In June this year the shop opened at Utrechtstraat in Amsterdam. The architecture of the
building is typical dutch which is perfect in style with the brand. The shop feels more like a gallery rather
then a shop and the design is simple with a black and white base, as on their website. Some gold was added
for a touch of luxury and the flowers in the ceiling give some life to the space.

Do design is a concept store located in the neighborhood Chueca, Madrid. A beautiful space of 200m2 focused
in integrating art, fashion and design from the collaboration of different artists and designers. A store that is
constantly shifting inventory and exhibitions gives new inspiration with every visit.

I have been wanting to share some of the inspiration from last weekend in Madrid and first out is the beautiful
shop Mestizo, a contemporary store in the neighborhood Chueca. The space with more than 300 square meters
and an impressive height of almost five meters gives the perfect setting for carefully selected products in a
eclectic mix of modern and traditional, items of very different styles, origins, periods and colors. Inspiring and
with an inviting atmosphere that makes you wanna stay, Mestizo is well worth a visit.

Last Saturday I had lunch with some friends at PRADO, a beautiful designed restaurant in the center of Lisbon. The
place has a Scandinavian feeling with a simple design, white walls, furniture in light wood and lots of daylight flooding
in through the large windows. Combined with the concept of serving Portuguese food made with national, seasonal and
fresh ingredients this place is well worth a visit. PRADO also have a beautiful designed shop in the same building where
they sell selected Portuguese products.

We have been working with our first styling and photography project of stills for a while, a serie of collected
objects, white or black. It was so much fun creating these images and I am happy to see our first project
published in Nordic style magazine.

The photo shoot that was made in november “all that glitters is not gold” has now been published in nordic
style magazine.
A rough and old space with beautiful architecture in an abandoned building in lisbon served as a canvas for a
selection of products in golden tones which makes an interesting contrast.
